Euro – turbulent times

The incredible market turbulence over the past few weeks has considerably changed the investment climate. As credit markets have tightened up and investors have seen losses across asset classes, the subsequent de-leveraging has had major repercussions on currency markets. In particular, there has been a determined shift out of riskier high-yield currencies such as the AUD and NZD and a shift into less risky funding currencies such as the JPY and CHF.
