RBC Capital Markets today (1st March 2010) announced that it has hired Raymond Schumertl, as a Director, Global Macro FX Sales.  Schumertl will be based in RBC’s Hong Kong office and will report to Natasha Brook-Walters, Global Head of Macro FX, RBC Capital Markets.
 

Schumertl joins RBC Capital Markets with over 18 years experience, most recently at Morgan Stanley, where he was an Executive Director in FX Institutional Sales based in Tokyo. Prior to this Schumertl held senior positions at Chase Manhattan Bank and Bank of America.
 

Commenting on the appointment, Natasha Brook-Walters, Global Head of Macro FX, RBC Capital Markets, said: “As we continue to expand our global footprint, and in our efforts to bring RBC’s Asian FX products to our international client base, Raymond’s expertise and experience in this market will complement our existing Pan Asian platform in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney.”
