Credit Suisse has appointed Ray McGregor as managing director and chief of private banking for Australia in a move to build up the Swiss bank’s wealth management team in the country, according to various press reports. McGregor will be based in Sydney and will report, on a local level, to David Trude, chief executive for Australia. McGregor will report functionally to Dr François Monnet, head of private banking, Southeast Asia and Australasia.
In his previous post as co-head of Credit Suisse Solution Partners for Asia Pacific, McGregor played an important role in establishing strong links with the company’s investment banking and asset management units and boosting the bank's product capabilities to meet the complex needs of ultra-high net worth clients in the region.
