Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets has appointed Charlotte Hurley to its Trade Finance team, in order to augment support to SME customers as the bank expands its capability to serve export-led UK clients.
Charlotte joins the Global Financial Institutions Trade Finance team reporting to Michael Gilham, Director and Head of Global Financial Institutions Trade Finance. The Global Financial Institutions Trade Finance team supports the entire Lloyds Banking Group corporate, commercial and international client base with export trade-related requirements.
Michael Gilham observed, “With over a decade of experience in trade operations, Charlotte will further augment our trade expertise for UK exporters, notably our SME franchise. Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets has a strong reputation for providing the highest level of service through flawless execution and bespoke solutions tailored to each client’s needs, and this appointment enhances our offering.”
Sumit Jamuar, MD & Global Head of Sales and Global Clients and a member of the Financial Institutions Group Executive Committee commented, “Exports have been identified as crucial to the growth of the UK economy, and just last week, the government unveiled plans designed to increase the number of SMEs that export by 25%. Our client research shows that the main barriers for UK companies who want to export are around payment security and working capital constraints. We are fully focused on providing appropriate financing solutions to our clients, particularly SMEs, throughout the economic cycle and are committed to supporting UK exporters.”
