Instinet Incorporated, a global leader in electronic trading and agency-only brokerage services, today announced it has been named “Best Execution Management System Provider” in the 2012 Waters Rankings for its Newport® 3 EMS.
As Instinet’s premier trading platform, Newport is a global, multi-asset, broker-neutral system that also serves as the primary gateway to the firm’s full suite of electronic trading tools, including the Execution Experts™ algorithmic suite and Insight transaction cost analysis platform.
This is the second time in the last three years that Newport has been named the industry’s top EMS in the prestigious Waters Rankings, which recognize excellence across the financial services sector and are selected by the magazine’s 10,000 readers. In the 2012 Rankings, Instinet bested a field of eight platform providers, including Bloomberg, ConvergEx, FlexTrade, Portware and TradingScreen.
“This recognition by the industry is obviously very gratifying to all of us at Instinet,” said Frank Freitas, Chief Operating Officer of Instinet Incorporated. “Instinet’s relationships with its global clients continue to drive the strategic evolution of Newport and indeed our entire product suite. We are firmly committed to building on these relationships—and the diversity of workflows they embody—to ensure that we continue to anticipate and best serve our clients’ wide ranging needs in the future.”
