ADS Securities (ADSS) the region’s leading independent currency, gold and silver brokerage has been awarded the coveted title of ‘Middle East Brokerage of the Year’ by readers of Banker Middle East magazine. The award recognizes the progress that ADSS has made in a single full year of operation and the way it has started to develop a new and dynamic financial services offering from Abu Dhabi.

In accepting the award, Philippe Ghanem, Managing Director and Vice-Chairman of ADSS said: “We would like to thank the Middle East’s financial services sector for this award which recognizes that currency and bullion trading has a significant role to play in the development of the regions brokerages. As other asset classes, in particular, equities and fixed income, are under pressure, investors are looking for new options and above all liquidity. We have invested heavily in providing the technology and the tight spreads they require to trade, and with good regulation from the Central Bank of the UAE, we now offer a world class service based in, and fully operational from, the UAE.”

ADSS provides services to both institutional and individual (private) traders through its online platform and via its off-line, traditional, trading desk. It has already opened an office in Singapore and continues to build-up trading volumes working with clients in all the main financial markets.

“Across the Middle East we are seeing unprecedented interest in trading FX and Bullion. It is the most liquid asset class in the world and underpins every financial transaction and regional investors are realizing that they have been missing out on the opportunities it presents. We are also clear that as interest continues to grow we must provide more education and market analysis to ensure that our clients are the best informed and have the greatest chance of achieving the results that they are looking for. Education and training will be an important element of our work through the remainder of the year,” added Mr. Ghanem.

The Banker Middle East Industry Awards were distributed at a gala dinner on Tuesday 12th June at the Emirates Towers, Dubai.
